HTC Sense to MotoBlur. Tbolt to Razr. Will I like it?

Hello all. I get to upgrade on the 27th of January and if you had asked me a month ago I would have said with out hesitation my next phone was going to be the GN, but after monitoring their threads and posts I have decided that it is not the wonder phone I thought it was going to be. The only appeal for me now is that it has ICS. ( am I wrong?)
So the last few weeks I have dreamed of all the wonderful large screen quad cores coming out this year including the LG X3 and HTC Egde (Endeavor) and thought I would wait until April/May time frame to pick up a new Tegra 3 phone, but my guess is I will be frustrated with delays like GN and end up with a phone slightly faster then the dual cores out there now. (should I wait?)
Now I am leaning towards a well made phone that will get the ICS upgrade by summer, and my focus is on the Razr Maxx based on what I have been reading from those that are reporting on their experience with the Razr. Seems like a lot have happy campers and the only issue I see coming up is battery life, which will be addressed with the Maxx.
My only concern is Moto Blur and how I will like it compared to Sense which I have really come to enjoy. I would love to get feed back from those that have come from HTC Sense (and liked it) and have gone to Blur. How has the transition gone for you?
Also those that have gone from a Thunderbolt to the Razr has this been a worthwhile upgrade and point out the advantages or improvements.

I went from the OG Droid to the T-bolt and now back to Moto. I dont know it is because I really liked my OG Droid or what but I never really cared for the HTC feel at all. I am glad to be back to Motorola, I just wish we had a little more choices with the roms we can install on them. dancedroid

While I don't personally have the TB, my wife does, and on the few occasions she has used my phone she has absolutely loved the flow and design of Blur. She is definitely not as techy or into gadgets as I am, so take this for what it's worth, but she was most impressed with the smooth transitions and subtle animations when switching screens.

Personally, I was a little turned off by previous versions of Blur and was hesitant when it came to getting the Razr, but I think Moto got it just right. With my OG Droid, I did everything I could to personalize my device, and I was constantly flashing new ROMs to get the perfect feel. I have yet to even switch to a custom launcher with my Razr because I have been so satisfied with what is offered by Blur.

I read all those complains about the GN and well I still got it either way because if it did have problems I could just switch to the HTC Rezound. Well 15 days have passed and zero issues here and I love this phone more and more.

I personally liked HTC Sense better because you could theme the stock rom easily, without rooting it. If you do plan on rooting, buy for the hardware, not the rom, because you can always change that.

Sense vs Blur... In my case I went from Blur to Sense. I have a RAZR and Rezound. Had the RAZR first. Have a Droid X1 too.

I think Sense offers more extras than Blur. I think Blur is lighter(?) than Sense. Lighter in the sense that Sense looks almost like its all made up of 3rd party apps.

Cant comment on T Bolt to RAZR. I know that performance wise the RAZR was a step up from my Droid X. Get past preferences and form factor and you should be happy with a RAZR. Or RAZR Maxx. I agree that at this point in time ppl should just get the Maxx. Love my RAZR...but if I had a chance without it costing me any money...I would exchange it for a Maxx.

I love the new "Blur" In fact, the quick contact widget in the new Blur is so good, that I won't buy another brand phone and no one has anything as good as that widget in the marketplace either. It only takes up one row but you can swype it down and see large pictures of 20 people. I use it constantly and never have to go into my contacts.

Aahh yes. Forgot about that. That is nice.. Blur does has some extras that nice too...lol. Its hard for some ppl to believe...but Blur has gotten alot better than when it was on the Droid X1, Devour.

Do it. I just did and I love it. I had a Droid x before the bolt and I really like Motorola's overlay better than sense. It is more responsive and snapper and just plain better overall IMO. The Razr is a very solid device. I originally upgraded to the bionic but when I got it Tuesday I started getting data loss almost immediately. Between Tuesday and today I had 6 non recoverable data drops. The Razr is the way to go. Best smartphone out IMO.
