Hello from a new member with an update issue (I think)

Hello all,

I am new here - I have a droid incredible and was sent the 2.3.4 update about two weeks ago (even though the other 5 people I know with Incredibles have not yet received it).
Since updating, my phone freezes up much more often than it used to. Rebooting usually takes care of it. If not, then removing the battery for a minutes or so seems to whip it into shape.
The most recent and irritating problem is that I keep getting notifications that I'm getting low on phone storage - which is NOT true. I have a 16GB SD card and I've moved everything that I can, to it. Here are the current settings:
SD & phone storage: Total space 14.82GB, Available: 14.64GB
Internal storage: Total space 6.60GB, Available 5.91GB
Phone memory: Total space 748MB, Available 563MB

Today, a new problem has developed - and maybe it's related to the space issue - not sure, but my phone is not syncing with my gmail account. It showed today that I had 26 in my inbox but none of the NEW email was on the phone. I have erased all but 10 from my email from the computer, but my phone still says there's 26 in the inbox. I told it to sync up numerous times to no avail.
Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas??
Thanks for responding.

Despite the issues, I love the android system and hope it out-shines Apple over the long haul. I would feel dirty if I ever had to buy an iphone. :icon_eek:

ALOHA welcome to the forum. i know there are still some bugs/issues with the upgrades, DX still has issues. as for the sd card, have u tried turning ur device off, pulling the card out, letting it reboot again? reinstall the sd card and see if those msgs keep coming up. in the market is the gmail app u can try, not saying its different from the regular gmail. but i was previously having issues where the notifications werent coming in when they supposed too and i had to manually keep pushing it to go thru. since the gmail upgrade, my emails are received without issues. but thats just my own perceptions of how things got fixed.

Thank You rck76. Happy to be here. How do you like your Bionic?

It's alot faster than the D1, I'm missing not being able to customize it. I might root, not sure yet. I came from a D1 that was rooted and rom'd

I downloaded Android Assistant and cleared cache and cleaned. So far its done the trick! We'll see what happens over time.
