Handcent laggy for anyone else?

When I scroll through my messages it's really laggy. Not so much when I scroll up, more so when I scroll down.

It's really only handcent because I tried the messaging app that comes with the Droid and it scrolls smoothly

been using handcent since day 1 and never had a problem with lag.

dunno if you want to lose all your messages, but you could reinstall it.

could also try a simple restart of the phone

Yes, Handcent gave me some issues with lagginess before. That's why I'm using the stock messaging app with SMS Popup. Or, you can always try Chomp.

the only problem I've ever encountered with handcent is that it doesn't go to landscape as smoothly as I'd like it to when the popup notification comes up. Other than that, I've had no problems and think it's a great app.

I can't get rid of it, since I like it too much to go back to the stock app or sms popup, I guess I'll try reinstalling it, see if it helps.
