Hello Everyone,
I was recently given an inactive Droid 1. I have resisted carrying any kind of cell phone (that wasn't off) for years. Even though I don't really have a mobile lifestyle, I'm now hooked. The phone has replaced my alarm clock, I use it as a remote for a HTPC, and too many other things to list. I used the droid as a "pocket computer" with just wifi for a few weeks, and then decided to activate it with pageplus cellular (thanks to a post I read on here somewhere) since a few dollars a month is a small price to pay for a phone, even though I'll seldom use it, unconnected to wifi.
So, I'm a happy camper in android land I guess. I'm going to attempt to root the thing at some point, and will probably need to post some questions in the mega droid1 rooting thread.
Anyway, glad this forum exists, and thanks to all for making this a great source of information.
