Droid X browser problems

Ok to start off, I'm running rooted gingerbread. When in the browser (I've used several different types, dolphin, stock, xscope etc. all have the same problem) im on a website for scheduling my work hours and it has a calendar grid interface where you touch a day to see who's working or to pick up or drop a shift. Whenever I touch a day, my phone dialer app pops up as if to call the number that's made by the dates. I don't want to use the dialer, I want to go to the page with information for that day. This happens other places as well, I touch a page link that includes numbers and the dialer app pops up. It's really starting to piss me off. Help anybody?
