Blurry pictures in Web searches

So is there a way to clear up the picture quality in Web searches? I'm referring to the pictures returned on pretty much any goggle search, why is the quality so horrible?

As far as I understand... Under each picture there is a link "view full size. " That should give you the native resolution. But if the native resolution is low... It will look blurry no matter what screen you use, phone or computer (depending on how much you expand it).
