Backing up and restoring loaded applications

Greetings,

on my Blackberry, the desktop software allowed me to backup / restore all of the loaded applications. I can't seem to find how to do that for the Droid. Is it possible please?

I'm using the HTC Sync (for Outlook) and I also have the V Cast Media Manager but that seems to be only for media (as the name suggests).

Cheers.

Will back up apps and data to your sdcard so you may save it all to your computer. Also look at dropbox for on the go file access.

Ah nice one, thank you.

I also just found (by chance since I hadn't searched on games) that apparently everything we get from the market will automatically restore to a new device so that's handy.

Cheers.

Yes that too, but sometimes the data in the app is more important.

Well I should have listened to you as my Market did NOT restore my apps. Oh well, I've only had it a few days so I didn't have many but still, a tad disappointing.

I am loving the X so far, though.

Cheers.
