Amazon MP3 App

Does anyone know how to delete this app. I don't plan to use it, it came with the phone. I'm constantly Killing it, so its not using battery power.

Unless you're rooted with superuser access it can not be deleted

yep, you have to be rooted.

You need to stop killing it though. You are using more battery power by contantly killing it. Once it comes up and starts idling, it will not use any of your needed resources or battery power.

i'd be careful deleting it. i deleted facebook and now i can't get the 2.2 update. try renaming it, therefore u still have it if need be.

Deleting Facebook can not stop you from getting 2.2.

If you want to, go to the market and download it again.

when doing the manual update i get an error
assert failed: apply_patch_check ("/system/app/Facebook.apk" then it goes on to list the long string of code (file id?)

this is not the right thread for this, but just wanted to clarify that deleting facebook did stop me from getting 2.2
