6-14 [ROM] Froyo Kangerade V1.0 *Blazing fast, 7 Theme options, many extras*

im having a big problem i want to run this rom because its the best one ive seen so far. but no matter how many times i flash the rom and clear data and cache it seems to keep on crashing on me i uninstalled everything but the rom and the launcher and it still crashed on me when i was browsing the internet i have no idea why.

I accidentally deleted the Genie widget with that fabulous script front end that canvs posted. Is there any way for me to get it back? I Googled it and found a few download spots but they either wont install or FC when trying to load them.

Have you tried installing a mild 800Mhz kernal? Mine wouldnt boot with anything over an 800Mhz installed, and was flaky until I turned it down to 700 with SetCPU. Take it to stock speeds and see what it does for you. THats the first rule of thumb when overclocking PC and worked pretty good when experimenting with my Droid too.dancedroid

I'm very frustrated, I am able to get 2.2 working on my Droid, but certain things will not work like my Wifi and my moto torch. I know some other people have said they were having similar issues but I never saw anyone who was able to fix the issue. I began installing Bungless Beast and i know the wifi worked, and it seemed to stop working when I went to Jrummy's rom. I feel like what I have to do is start from scratch and completely wipe everything, go back to stock 2.1, re-root and re-install 2.2, but I don't want to delete the wrong things. Can anyone point me in the correct direction to do that, or if there is an easier fix that would be much appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

problem... quick fix from anyone?
everything was working great... then i randomly went into the rom manager to just check out the jrummy roms... and well i went into roms section and said could not connect. since then i have no service. no internet..no nothing. i restart phone...pull battery...do airplane mode... it all still says no service.
fix????

12:30am EDIT
6 minutes later... service comes back randomly??
any reason why this may of happened?

Interesting. I just pulled down 4 app updates, one of them being ROM Manager. I opened each one to take a look at them, and the last one was ROM Manager. Since there wasn't a change log in the market, I wanted to look at the change log in the app, which opens a web page. After I closed it, the same thing happened to me-my signal was showing 2 bars, but no 3G and I had no connectivity. I left it alone for a few minutes and walked around with the phone to see if the signal indicator would change, but it didn't. I rebooted and everything was fine.

I just opened ROM Manager and went through the exact same steps and everything is working fine this time, so I'm not entirely sure what happened there. unless anybody else reports something similar, I'll chalk it up to a random "event" with eerie similarities.

yaaa exactly after it started working again..i tried rom manager again..and it all worked

I think people who are having problems with wifi are using the wrong kernal, though that statement could be completely false.

mototorch broke for me too, but i don't really care. I looked in the market and found a new widget just like it. called... "LED light" i like the widget better and it even seems to work a little bit more efficiently

what kernal would you suggest?

Motorolas Droidlight (with the lightbulb icon) works just fine for me. I also havent experienced any WiFi issues on blueberry. I forgot which kenral I used but it maxed at 800Mhz. When I launch maps it wont update my locations via GPS but when I cardock it it works great. Just wish I could get my news and weather widget back.

I know verrrrry little about kernals, but I remember seeing some posts from somebody that makes kernals saying that theirs works with wifi.

but the kernal included in this (atleast the blueberry variety) works fine with wifi, so maybe just run a clean install of this?

I'm running the blueberry with the chevy1100 ULV kernal, i'm going to try the P3 1100 kernal and see if that will help. I honestly think it's something more because I have tried to install other 2.2 roms like Bugless Beast and Chevy's Simply Stunning Roms, all with no luck.

I have tried all of the kernels and determined "my" Droid performs best at 800 Mhz. It runs as smooth as butter. Anything higher than that, and I get some stuttering...or very slow, long reboots when I have to re-boot. Not a symptom of Kangerade, but in general. I experienced this even before Kangerade. My Droid doesn't really like anything over 800 or it stutters and runs quite hot.

Other than that, everything is running beautifully on Kangerade. Not one problem so far.

Everybody's phone is going to be a little different, so some experimentation might be in order. I had no problems with the stock kernel, everything was working fine for me, but a couple of days ago I flashed the P3 1000 LV kernel. I currently have SetCPU set to 500/900 for standard use, and mine is running fine-no issues with WiFi, GPS, Maps, torch apps or anything else.

As somebody else suggested, the kernel might be part of it, but I think there is more going on that is causing some of these issues for people. I'm just not quite sure what...

I am a newly rooted user and I have to tell you Jrummy I love your ROM! I had trouble installing it at first but eventually I got it loaded and will forever be a rooted Droid user.

I do have one problem. I am getting a lot of "foreclosure" messages for apps. I tried using fix permissions in ROM but I am still getting them.
