I just saw the new iPhone TV add.
Apparently you can do amazing things with and Li-Ion battery.
Huh, who knew?

I saw that commercial too . I hate the battery life on my Droid . I searched for that battery and I found this Apple iPhone 4 4G Replacement Li-Ion 3.7v Battery - eBay (item 330493170862 end time Jan-04-11 12:00:07 PST) . Has anybody tried this battery ? Will it work with my first generation Droid ?

Buy the extended battery for the droid 2, it works with the droid 1 and only protrudes very, and i mean VERY slightly . My droid goes well over 24 hours without needing a charge. And thats with heavy usage.

Sorry I was being sarcastic, the selling point of the commercial is not really a selling point at all. It was so over the top I just had to laugh.

Like a Ford commercial that saying buy a Ford it has a 12 volt battery!
Look at all the fun you can have!

How do you expect to connect that battery to the Droid...

If it doesn't have the same connector I was thinking to improvise something out of aluminium foil or maybe use a soldering gun to solder a Droid battery connector . I'm pretty handy with electronics , I configured my router by my own , I even put a WPA2 password on it .

I don't think it would physically fit in the phone
