Nice title eh? Well I was just wondering why everyone is hating on the Blur found on the Droid X, Droid 2, and Global. I understand how crappy it was on the earlier phones, like the devour, but I honestly think it is VERY VERY nice. I was playing with a Droid X in VZW and ordered it for Christmas. I NEVER intend on switching launchers.

-What do you guys think?
-If you dislike it please say why!

Well realisticly I think I don't like it because I have what I consider to be a better replacement for every aspect of blur. I use tweetdeck for social networking, handcent for messaging, launcher pro as a launcher etc.

I have been running a blurless rom for quite some time and I don't miss blur in the slightest.

This new blur aka phil blur, is nice, I dont mind it, but people hate most of the time with out knowing what they are hating.

Yes, blur is probly 3rd in terms of stock launchers, 1st being vanilla and 2nd being Htc sense, but its not as bad as people say it is.

Honestly, i think 75% of the haters have never even tried it.

The reason I'm on aosp now is because blur contacts is broken. Gmail groups don't sync to the contacts app on blur. Broken functionality = useless to me.

It isn't so much blur, as the bloatware that was pre-installed on the phone. I don't want or need City ID, the integrated Social networking, and several other APP's that if I had a choice (without rooting) I would completely remove and obliterate from my phone.

What does bloatware actually mean? I mean I have an idea what it means but what is actually added to "bloat" it I guess.
