1. You want that $100.00 in your pocket or an Amazon Fire TV don't you? Well here's the deal. With our new updated look we are in desperate need of an updated logo. The 'old' one has certainly served us well, but it's time. Find all the details here: bit.ly/1q0k6Wa

First :welcome: to the forum! My best advice to you,. Is get it and figure out some stuff before "rooting it" you may find you like how it runs already :). get your apps., and the home screens set up as you like. Then see where you are at. Enjoy it!

I agree - I like it just fine right out of the box! Plus, I've heard a couple of people say it's easy to "brick" your phone if you aren't careful. None of that for me, thanks.

First thing - make sure your Gmail account is set up and ready to go, if you haven't already. That's where your contacts and calendar will sync from, too.

    Enjoy your Droid.
I wont root until I really see something I cant live w/o. 2.1 is the only thing I see worthy right now and we will eventually get that anyway.
