So my genius co worker ran my EasyRoot app i purchased last night before i could figure out how to back up 2.1 am i screwed?
I have been searching (threw the search button) on how to back up my 2.1 but have had no luck i have seen a lot of talk of SPRecovery and other programs but i am totally new to this and don't know where to get it. I have not gotten the 2.2 update yet but I wanted to back up 2.1 and root it before it came in.
Also if i have a rooted 2.1 and the 2.2 update comes in should i not upload it or will i be able to accept it and not have any problems?
Thanks from a Newb

I'm not familiar with EasyRoot. Is it intended to root your phone? If so, it should include some recovery system. Were there instructions on the developers of EasyRoot's site?

What happens when you open your slider and press the X and power buttons?

Here is a link http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-faqs/39254-sbf-root-unroot.html
that will help you install SPRecovery.

Once you get back on track I suggest two things:

1. Anytime you make a change to your phone make a backup first.
2. Never let anyone make any changes to your phone. If you want to make a change and do not feel comfortable, post your questions and the community will get you through.

Hope this helps.
