VPN differences in MIUI ROMs?

Hey guys,

I flashed 12.03 to my phone this morning with a full wipe, and it appears that VPN Connections does not work. At this time, I have only found one MIUI release that DOES support VPN - 11.26.0. Does anybody have any idea what could be different about this ROM from the others?
