I'm plenty objective. Maybe you've only looked at my posts where I'm not blindly foaming at the mouth and saying "Google! Google!" I use probably every Google product known to man, and I have zero plans on getting an iPhone as my next phone or any phone after that (not to say that I would never get one, but its not in my pipeline right now or in the near future).

I say what I mean based on my own experiences. I don't try to talk for anyone else. simple as that. If that makes you conclude that the only logical (and I use that word lightly) explanation is that I'm a fanboy, or an employee of Apple or Verizon, I really can't say much to change your mind, right? But it works both ways. In this very thread, you were arguing points which were completely wrong and refusing to relent from those arguments even when proven wrong. So again, you must be a fanboy of Android. You must drink the Google Kool-Aid and listen to uncle Eric and do whatever he tells you. I hope you can appreciate how unimaginably foolish that insinuation is. That's exactly what you're saying to me...

I wasn't so much proven wrong, so much as you presented your opinion on the matter. To the mind of a fanboi, their opinion is the only "truth", so that is why you feel that I was proven wrong.

But we shall see if VZW were to at some point start charging for streaming video and music and things, blocking Google Voice because they all conflict with services that Verizon charges for, hence your using them is "stealing services"...

apparently it is ok, since you're still a verizon customer. You really make no sense complaining about them and continuing to pay them. You're supporting them just as much as I am, the difference is your whining about it, and I'm not.

Because as was pointed out, when you only have 2 or 3 options on the market and they all loosely agree to use the same tactics, you get a monoplostic environment, even though you technically have "choices"...

Wait...so you're still trying to argue that mirroring and tethering are pretty much the same thing? Were you right about that? In the other thread, you're still trying to argue that a patent is the same thing as a trademark? Were you right about that when you presented your strawman response? You're still trying to argue that Hulu, Netflix and Skype use the same protocol as tethering? Were you right about that when it was shown to you by another poster that the amount of data used between tethering and the other apps you mentioned were not the same, and why VZW cant block them? You're still trying to argue that Verizon said "we have waged war against tether-ers!!" Were you right about that when you couldn't provide one single link that proved that Verizon ever said anything remotely close to that? It's not an opinion. You were wrong.

Like I said, look at what you're doing. Its becoming glaringly evident that you work for Google. That much is clear now. In fact, you're most probably the son or nephew of the Google CEO. There's no other explanation for this. What I'm saying makes total sense, because based on your responses, this is the only possible outcome. There's no way you have your own opinion, rather your father Sergey Brin has instilled these beliefs in you, and you're not thinking for yourself. haha...i cant even write this crap without literally laughing out loud.

So let's get this straight:

1) You "need" (not want) to have a smartphone
2) While you were shopping around to fulfill this need of yours, you found out that all the offerings are ripping you off
3) Knowing that you are getting ripped off, you signed up for these services
4) Knowing that you can leave without incident, you continue to use these service
5) Knowing that you can leave without incident, you whine about these services
6) Knowing that you can leave without incident, you feel as if you are a prisoner to these monopolies who just won't give you a fair shake for what you "need" to survive: $30 for a full fledged mobile, portable ISP.

The horror of these monopolies!! You sound like a socialist man...
