Updating to 4.4 Issue

Hello,

for few days am trying to update my nexus software to 4.4 ( using 4.2 ) but each time in the middle of the installation i got an error so i need to reboot my mobile again.

also if i go sittings, system updates, the mobile seems that cant find the new update its says that your mobile is up to date while am running 4.2

kindly if some one knows how to update to 4.4 or he face the same issue that i have please let me know.
