Uninstallation of preloaded Apps (root user)

Is anyone aware of an app/Way to Uninstall preloaded applications such as vz navigator and such?

You can either use root explorer to change their extension from apk to bak, or use titanium backup to "freeze" them. They effectively do the same thing and let you restore the apps easily later so you can still receive ota updates.
