transfering contacts

I am trying to copy my contacts to my new moto droid from my verizon 5800 smart phone. The people at the verizon store can't figure it out. I know there has got to be a way please help.

Back it up online. It'll transfer to your new phone.

You should be able to export the csv file from the contacts area and import it into your google accounts contacts area, or you can just put the csv file on your phone and import it through there and it will filter into your google account.
