Samsung will skip a 32GB version of the Note 8. Instead the base model of the new flagship will include 64GB of on board storage. There will also be a version of the device with 128GB of storage. Both versions will include a micro sdcard slot with the ability to expand storage by another 256GB. Samsung says they feel that power users require more storage so they decided to upgrade storage on the Note 8. With the price tag that is expected on this device you would expect more storage to say the least.

I was just reading at sammobile they are talking 1100 bucks for the 64GB variety. If true, that IS out of my range. with at$t now that I am currently subscribe to, that would add another 30-40 bucks a month to what I am already paying. I need that extra cash because McDonalds is not as cheap as they used to be :-(

If 1100 is right then expect at least another hundred for the 128GB version.

As with most new flagships, wait two months and the price will drop by at least 100. Even though I always expect to pay more for quality, especially when it comes to the latest tech, but STILL, a grand for a smartphone is steep for anyone. For that price, this thing better brew your coffee & walk your dog for you each morning! Sheesh!

After the Note 7 debacle, I would think that they would want to keep the price down and very competitively priced. As it is, people will be very cautious about buying the Note 8. They will lose lots of sales if they expect to sell in the $1000 price range.

a while back there was a rumor that they will give discounts to those who purchased the note 7 and was forced to return them. If true I guess samsung will be relying on those sales in addition to those who have the bucks to pay full price.

Yes, I heard that rumor also. I think they better want to woo new Samsung owners as well. Cross my fingers that the price is reasonable.

We really want a new Note, and this Note 8 will be quite an event. Samsung works and innovates really only on this range and it is the only one to equip its smartphones with a stylet.
