It looks like T-Mobile isn't content with just kicking their competitors in the privates with their affordable Uncarrier initiative. They just announced a massive network expansion which they project will be completed by the middle of 2015. According to T-Mo's statement, they plan on migrating all existing EDGE network areas to LTE by that time-frame. Here's a video above and a full presser below,

We shall see. Because edge (basically customers seeing more edge than LTE) is the Achilles hill of t mobile right now.

I've only hit edge waaaaay out in the Boones personally or just no signal(then I use wife calling and texting). I'm always either on 4lte or 4g. Btw I personally love 4g(hspa+).

I hope this mean t-mobile is going to out there newly acquired 700mhz band!!

    i hate edge lol
i see it every now and then.
T-mobile covers my city. but they dont cover the main strip which is on the beach... if i go inside. i get nothing. at any bar or resturant on Seacoast in Imperial Beach.
i have the same problem in a lot of buildings in down town sandiego. i just feel like their coverage isnt Stronger. it doesn tpush through walls the way verizon did.

    that being said.
with 4 lines i am paying over $100 less than i was on verizon.
so any network upgrades i look forward to.

    also
T-mobile, love their customer service/support i have nothing but good things to say about the people working for this company.

Coverage which penetrates buildings is a characteristic of a CDMA device, like Verizon sells. Weak or non existent building penetration is a common occurrence with GSM phones like T-Mobile sells. The reason is complex (and I'm no technician), but the two devices are behaving normally.

Well it has more to do with the frequency. 700mhz is more powerful vs 1800-1900mhz.
Tmobile did just purchase a 700mhz block. so i am hoping this is what they will be putting up.
