Ok not sure if you really need root to do this. Someone please confirm. I'm rooted. I think you may be able to do this unrooted.
This is from xda developers. Should be flashed through hboot. Place on root of SD card and reboot into bootloader by powering on while holding volume down. Then press power button..the up volume rocker to accept update. Do not power off your phone during update. You will endup with a brick if u do. I recommend a full charge before doing this. Be sure to delete from SD card after installed
This task update contains the cdma radio from latest release and the LTE from previous version before the update that started all the reboots. I have not had a reboot with this combo..as well as many others.
