Hello -
I have a Droid 2 Global.

I rooted a few hours ago and all was fine (via the z4root)
I then installed Titanium Backup pro, again no problems
This morning I froze a few of the bloatware apps.

Thats when my phone no longer worked.
I tried powering off/on and now I am stock at the flashing red eye.
Battery pulls still leave me at "the eye"

What seems unusual is that I hear my text msg beep while on this red eye (so it seems that my phone may be working? or at least receiving texts?)

When I goto system recover. I get a grey triangle with a yellow exclamation point. When I press Vol Up/Camera button - nothing happens / no options are given
Same for pressing the search button on lower right

At this point would be great to start over but I'm not sure how..

Any ideas? Any help is GREATLY appreciated !

Try the enter key on the physical keyboard. Sounds like something was frozen that shouldn't have been. Did you make a backup before freezing anything?

nothing w/ the enter key

even weirder...the phone vibrates (like when i first get to my home screen) and the four touch buttons at the bottom are responsive (as in I can feel them vibrate)
While stuck on the red eye I attempted to power off and just guess where on the screen the power off option would be
So i pressed where I thought it would be, and yep..The phone turned off.

So it seems somehow the red screen is "on top" of my home screen?

I unfortunately did not make a backup
learned my first lesson...

Wait...hit the search button on the keyboard. Should take you to the stock recovery. Not sure if a data wipe will do it or not but, its worth a shot.

Go into stock recovery and wipe data/cache.

To do this:
Hold x while powering on
Hit the keyboard search button when it getsbto the droid with an exclamation point behind it
Use volume down to go to wipe data/cache
Wipe both
Reboot and you should be fine, if not then may have to sbf.

Sorry if I confused but hitting the search button while on the droid recovery / white exclamation screen did nothing. I was unable to get to the options.

However plugging the phone in made a difference? I plugged it into a wall charger and was suddenly able to select a factory reset. Is that normal (that you have to have the phone plugged in) . Battery was at 80%. Sorry if I wasted your time!

I must have done something really wrong while selecting the apps to freeze - although I thought I played it careful and only selected the obvious stuff ala VZN navigator, Blockbuster, Amazon MP3 etc
