I have rooted but not installed custom roms so I have a question that may be showing my ignorance, sorry.
I had installed the Motorola OTA upgrade for my Droid X but there seem to be so many issues that I decided to sbf back to froyo. I'm rooted (z4root) and running CWM for backups as well as Titanium.
So, if I install a custom rom like Liberty, will there still be problems with GB? Specifically, my earpiece sound volume was too low, calls would connect for 0 seconds requiring a battery pull to fix, bluetooth disconnect issues, etc. The issue with the sound volume being too low is the real showstopper for me as I use my phone in noisy areas.
The instructions are very well written, I'm just not sure if this leaves me with something worse than froyo. Thanks.
