preferred network mode

what would cause my phone to switch from cdma to global by itself. I try to stay on cdma cause it seems to use alot less battery when it is. I dont know what would make it switch so I dont know what to stop doing lol

While in the US it should stay on cdma, however it will continuously search for gsm network also. You can turn it to cdma only using (dial) *#*#4636#*#* > phone info > prefered network.

thanks alot are there anymore dial tricks like that i may need to know about. I changed the preferred network to cdma only since I will not go overseas thank you for the info.
