My wife just got a Droid 4 and when you pull down the status bar, it doesn't have the shortcuts (wifi, GPS, blue tooth, etc.) that every other android phone I've used has. Is there some way to get them back?

The link at the top that looks like a gear takes you to the shortcuts you mention. See below;

Alternatively you could install an app that gives you the functionality you're looking for. Some add themselves to the status page, others are just icons on the home page. Search "power toggles" in the Play Store.

When I press on the gear it brings up the settings menu,not the shortcuts. Plus I'd like to have them be there without having to make an extra press.

On the latest Android versions, drag the status bar down with TWO fingers to get additional functions.

Motorola phones don't have the status bar shortcuts...at least none of the DROID line that I have used.

Download widgetsoid. No extra clicks. Just make sure you configure it correctly.
