NO 3g....... HELP

all of a sudden, my phone doesnt have any 3g connection... the icon wont even show up... i still have service and can make calls/send texts but cant access the internet.. i can connect to wifi but not 3g..took it by verizon and of course they had no clue, they want to swap it but i thought i would check on here before i drive all the way back to town.. ive tried the battery pull trick multiple times

Make sure you are authorized with Verizon. Make sure you are not in Airplane mode. Factory reset works unless the phone is broken. Also, make sure you are recieving a 3G signal. Try it with a different phone.

Make sure you did not turn off data. I have droid x and unsure how different it is but under settings . I can not find it back. It is under like data management or something. Anyways you can shut off data during certain times. I have done it and the 3G icon does disappear during this.
