its not an april fools joke. it just "expires" every couple months. probably to help them note how many people have downloaded the app. its not changing to paid, nothings changing at all. theres just gonna be an update and it's gonna change to beta expires 6/30 or whenever...everybody calm down.
Actually, it is a beta. It's sort of like most Google products, it seems to be in a perpetual beta form. It just doesn't happen to be numbered like a typical beta would be. Maybe this is just their way of telling us that they're constantly committed to keeping it updated.
One thing's for sure - at least they're on point with release date promises - they promised an update before tomorrow, AND now we've got it! :icon_ banana:
