Motorola DROID A855 update??

I was just prompted to install an update. I don't remember reading about any upcoming update. Anyone know what changed? I've been out of the loop.

Just recieved the update to be pushed im reading prior to the update.

So did it an im reading that its 2.2.2 now...must'a just been a patch or something, cuz im not seeing anything just my activity launcher f/c'd

That update has been out for sometime now. Ive had that 2.2.2 on my old d1 for over a month

It's to fix the text message issue. Where a different thread comes up than the one you clicked on.

This is a email Motorola sent me:

"Thanks for your patience – I know it’s been a long wait since we asked you to sign up for this Droid software test.

The update will be pushed to your Droid, possibly as early as today. Please download and install it. It will address two specific issues:

*Sporadic issues with unintended recipient list corrected for text, picture, video, and audio multimedia messages

*Correct message populates when messaging application is opened and quickly accessed"

Thanks for that. I just talked to my wife and she has a D1. She tried to search for updates but it said no. I suggested she do a reboot.

BTW this is 2.2.2 version FRG83G. So This is indeed not only a new build but a slightly different version.
