This bug has happened to me on so many different occasions that I'm basically stuck. When I first got my phone, or after flashing a custom ROM, everything worked as it should. But after a while I will go to download a new app, the status bar will flash for an instant that it is downloading, and then stop and not download. If I go back to try again same thing happens over and over again. This will happen for any other download or app update afterwards. How do I fix this? I tried the usual force stop and clear market data but that does not do anything.

I was able to "solve" this problem. I uninstalled an app and it seems like all is well. There must be a database or something that gets messed up. Uninstalling would have fixed it.
