did you rename the file to update.zip ? and have it on the top level of the SD card?

same here both 2.01 and root it reads
--Install from sdcard...
finding update package...
opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory)
E:signature verification failed
installation aborted

and it reads the same for the root file?

this appears to me as though you didn't have the file in the root of the SD card. or you didn't name it correctly.

fixed now i was renaming it update.zip and it was adding the extra zip on also 2.01 loaded now root works perfect thanks

would it be risking your market dev account to make a one click app?

Didn't work for me it keeps saying no such file.

E:failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory)
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted

That's what i get. Tried it twice.

also try what those prior stated about making sure that it's not named update.zip.zip if you can't update it and it's the right name, remove .zip from the end of it and try again.

After hitting the gold key mine says this:

----Install from SD card...
Finding update package...
Verifying update package...
Installing update...
Verifying current system...
unpacking patches...
Removing unneeded files...
Patching system files...
Patching boot image...
Unpacking new files...
Symlinks and permissions...
Writing RDL/BP image...

Install from sdcard complete.

-------------

After that, I hit the gold key again "on the physical keyboard" and it went blank about 10 seconds and commenced to rebooting.
Took longer than normal... but I'm sure thats because it was configuring things. It sayed at the redeye screen a couple of minutes before it finally went to the new screen.....

too trippy!.. it did it!
Since I still have my physical keyboard open, it came up in landscape mode.... looks pretty cool!

I now have firmware 2.0.1!

anyone comment on the security warnings from the link?

It's a standard warning for when there's no security certificate. I get the same thing when I try to log into my router on Chrome, Firefox, and Opera. It really doesn't mean anything.

Thanks, yeah that's it. The file extension threw me off. People using Vista at least, don't worry about the .zip part. Just rename it.
