loss of wireless signal

Strangest thing-ocassionally it just goes out-and I have to disconnect and reconnect by pushing the icon. During times when it drops off my laptop is happy as a lark. Strong signal sitting about 10 feet from the router.

I just never have this issue on the laptop nor other computers in the house.

It is "livable"-all I need to do is disconnect and reconnect and while I am off I am not actually actively using data and 4G picks up anyway. Even in my walkout basement which is pretty good because I am about 5 miles from the nearest tower.

Anyone else experienced this?

Figured I would bump it up with other wifi issues posts going on

WirelessG - the old Linksys Wireless G 54 whatever it is.
Secured network with password
wireless set to Never Sleep

Phone just shuts out of wi fi even though toggle is set to not turn it off - and I dont get notifications emails etc. So the plan is to leave it on phone and connect to wifi when I need to do something data intensive.

I know the issue is not my router because my laptop sits next to my work computer all day and rarely rarely looses the wireles signal.
