List of things that drain power?

Is there a list of hardware and software that drains power somewhere out there? Like from most to least? For example, backlight, gps, handcent, etc.

There are probably hundreds of lists, and thousands of threads on the battery. Your best solution is to invest in an extra battery and a charger. It will take the stress out of trying to figure these things out.

No matter what you turn off or leave on, the fact is that Droid, and I don't care which one, sucks a lot of battery juice. I suggest Amazon.com for the battery and eBay for a wall charger.

In order of likely current draw (depends on model and for the most part order is an educated guess)

Screen
CPU + GPU
GPS
Camera Sensor
3g data
wi-fi
Voice, network usage
LED light (could be higher, never seen power draw specs on a cell phone flash/LED light)
FM receiver
Bluetooth
Speakers
RAM
System memory
mic
accelerometers
SD card
ambient light sensor
magnetometer
Status LED
proximity sensor

Apps increase power usage by increasing the power draw of one or more of the above, explaining the effect of all apps would take a ridiculous amount of text
