linking email

Is there anyway I can link embarqmail.com to my droid x? I can go to the web site, but i would like it to be linked like gmail, everytime i try to send something to embarq it says failed. Gmail say i can transfer all my contacts from my previous email to them, but I have embarq linked to everything from paypal to my work and credit cards.

You can log into google.com/mail and import an email account into your google.com account...
