Leaving your phone naked?

I'm going with a silicone skin. Got one on Ebay for $7 shipped. It looks like this one.

I like these because they add grippiness and cushion the phone in a drop. Landing on the corner causes the screen to break, so this skin prevents it.

It would have been better to have kevlar on the outside aluminum edging then the back plate. I'm not worried about the screen but those edges are going to get it dropped on concreted without a case. No screen protector but the case is going to stay on.

Originally I was going to get this phone just to by the time until the Nexus came out. But It is so fast and sexy looking. I can't stop looking at it. when we get the ICS update it will be the same phone anyway.

I.... I look at a case and screen protector like insurance for my phone....most of the time it's not needed but you're sure glad you have it when you do.

For me- I would look at that case every day that i DIDN"T need it and hate it...
Option 1- love the naked phone 350 days a yr and take my chances a few times per yr
Option 2- looking at a bulky, unbeautiful, ruined phone 70 times per day in a case...
I'll take Option 1!!!
if i paid insurance, everytime i looked at my durable phone in pristine shape (despite being abused) i would resent its pristine condition becuase i paid so much for insurance..."c'mon man! Break already! I don't wanna regret buying that insurance!"
Figure I won't break it for at least a yr, then I can pay the same $175 to get a repair or refurb. Insurance (and cases) are like a Casino- they don't get rich cause they give away so much money. They make their money by betting on the RIGHT side of the odds. I'll follow suit.

I've always had a case/skin on my phones, starting with the Motorola bag phone. I've used screen protectors for years. Can't imagine not using on on my Razr when it gets here next week, but I may be pleasantly surprised. And yes, I added insurance. I always seem to be the one who benefits from it...

Not only will i have the defender series case on my new razr im putting the zagg full package on it im not taking any chances i didn't with my captivate either

I keep it in a pocket with nothing else. Keys, change, etc. go in a different pocket. Worked fine with my Nexus One with no Gorilla Glass. dancedroid

Satarecah: the zagg full body protector doesn't play well with cases. Had it on my og, and then the snap-on case with the holster, and certain parts of the invisible shield would start to come off. My suggestion would be to get the zagg full body only, or a case, and just the zagg screen.

The defender series is diffrent it shouldent move around in side the case and it drops in so it should be fine i still have it on my captivate lol also has a defender series case

No case for me, they threw in the screen protectors so it is on there an I will probably leave it there.....

I have the insurance but only because my last OG was pristine ( i baby my phones and keep them as new as I can) and then the software was crazy and stated dialing contacts without the phone even being touched....

Verizon was awesome about it, he said this phone is over a year old and looks better than when I have on the shelf right now..... he signed me up for insurance and reported the problem right after, I got a replacement phone that the slider was more loose than mine but I didn't complain it kept me going until the RAZR came along...

So no case, the phone just looks too nice to spoil IMHO.....

Went naked with my DX and going naked with my RAZR too. Phone is too sexy to ruin it with a case and screen protectors bug me.just keep it in separate pocket
