keep data and after wiping

i am trying to install a new rom and when i did, it didnt install everything properly so i wanna reinstall it after wiping data and cache..is there any way to keep ALL data and apps exactly like they r and install the new rom after i wipe data and cache and somehow bring back just the data and apps to the same point i have now? i hope i explained what im trying to do good enough to understand

At the risk of sounding repetitive.....Titanium Backup does exactly what you want.

OR you can go into advanced nandroid backup and do a DATA ONLY backup. wipe data clean cache - install rom - restore DATA ONLY backup. This has never failed me going from rom to rom. There could always be a first time but i always do a regular backup as well so it's no biggie if it finally does.
