There's a couple of threads about how to defeat this. If I recall correctly, you accept the download and then SpRecovery or Clockwork will block the installation. But find those other threads and read them too.

ahh i saw that thread, but didnt read it. Glad i havent got the update yet haha.

i had root a couple weeks ago, with 2.2, but i had to get a replacement and havent decided to root again yet... i was getting bad battery life.
