is the droid getting froyo

do you guys think we will be getting froyo at all anymore for the droid. and if yes when do you guys think we will get it

i last read, think it was engadget, that droid would receive froyo sometime the end of this month to mid august?

but considering this phone is on the "end of life" list, who knows.

I know one thing for sure though, it's time to root

short answer: it looks like 2.2 is coming beginning around 8/7. and it's coming to the D1.

It's never getting froyo or any other updates. And once the Droid 2 comes out it will cease to function totally leaving you with a brick.

Actually they are going to be removing the 2.1 update from all original Droids beginning in August and going back to the more stable 2.01 release.

I heard from my friend that the next OTA update for the D1 will be IOS 4.01 and that it will become the first iPhone on Verizon.
