A couple of days ago we brought you some updated information on the Samsung Stealth V that is soon to be arriving on Verizon. Today, we have some new "in the wild" pics of the device to share. For more pics, hit the 'gallery' link below.

Strangely, the source of these pics posted different specs on the phone than what we have been hearing from our sources. I would probably trust our original article, linked above, before this info, but for the sake of clarity and "CYA" we will post them below.
  1. 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen (480 x 800)
  2. 1 GHz Hummingbird processor
  3. Android 2.2 Froyo, upgradeable
  4. 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi
  5. Mobile hotspot up to 8 devices
  6. 8 megapixel rear camera, LED flash, auto-focus
  7. 1.3 megapixel front camera
  8. 828 MBs internal storage
  9. microSD memory card slot expandable up to 32GBs
  10. A-GPS
  11. Bluetooth 3.0
  12. HDMI out, 720p HD
  13. 3.5mm Headphone Jack
  14. 1500 mAh LiIon battery
It is possible that this one is a pre-production model and the specs will change for the final retail version. Regardless, the article's source indicated that Samsung has really concentrated on battery life with this one. He claims he could get 8-10 hours of normal use out of the phone. He also indicated that the model pictured was running Android Launcher Pro because he changed it to that, but the phone actually comes with the Samsung TouchWiz interface. The release date is still around mid-April according to the source.

Why Froyo?

What is the deal with new phones shipping with Froyo rather than Gingerbread? I've been running GB on my D1 for over a month with no problems.

Is anyone shipping a GB phone besides the Nexis S?
