So,
I've probably flashed a dozen roms on my X and X2. With my wife's Droid Pro, after searching for an hour, I could not figure out how to get into CWM recovery to flash google apps (I forgot to do that when I installed CM7.)
Thanks to dattofatto and a post on the boot menu, I found this info:
To enter Clockworkmod recovery:
IN ORDER TO GET INTO RECOVERY, REBOOT YOUR PHONE, THEN WAIT FOR THE LED TO FLASH BLUE. IF YOU PRESS THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON WHEN IT'S BLUE THEN IT WILL TAKE YOU INTO THE DEDICATED BOOT MENU. FROM THERE SELECT RECOVERY, THEN CLOCKWORK RECOVERY
