How do you find downloaded files?

I downloaded a file, and can't seem to find it on my phone now. I found it using Astro (file manager).. but there is no option to delete the file...
So, what am I missing? is there a place you can access your downloads or "my computer"?

In astro hold down on the file. When a menju comes up say edit. Then click delete. Hope thaT helps
