After many years of torture by WM, I am happy to be using a real Smartphone. I bought my D2G unlocked on ebay. It has worked well on Airtel GSM card. Activating data connection requires a factory reset. (Had to do this both with the stock ROM and Fission 2.4.3 ) Of course, I had to get rid of all the Verizon bloat while using the stock ROM. A query though - My WM phone (HTC Kaiser) would last more than 36 hours on a single charge - which means I could charge once in 2 days. D2G doesn't last more than 15 hours or so. I am over my honeymoon period now and should be using the phone just as much as I was using the old phone - still I have to recharge every evening. I switched to Fission ROM today and see if it makes any difference.
