HD dock question

I have my dock hooked up to a pair of Alesis powered studio monitors. I use the monitors for other things and since the volume control is on the back I use the volume control on the other devices to handle adjustments. I can't figure out how to control the output from the Razor. Neither the software or rocker switch on the Razor affect the volume output. Any one have any advice?

From what I know of the dock, the output is "Fixed" at "Line output level" rather than controlled by the volume rockers on the phone, since it assumes you will be using an external amplifier with its own preamplifier and volume control. You can only get variable output through the headphone jack.

That's also how it works for webtop. The displays audio out, is the controlling factor.

Thanks for the quick replies. What a bummer. Guess I will have to settle for the speakers in my display. Thery're not bad but they are no Alesis.
