I am on Liberty v 1.0 ROM (after flashing 2.3.4 SBF and rooting). Liberty ROM installs Google Music ver. 4. I successfully managed to link my Google Account but it just doesn't stream any music. I tried to install ver 3 from Market but that too fails to stream music.

I read a forum post somewhere saying that Google Music will fail to play songs if the Hosts file in /system/etc/ is NOT correctly formatted. But I noticed that mine is correctly formatted with Unix line breaks. Still it fails to stream the music. Can someone help me here?

In any case, can someone give me their host file which works with Google Music so that I can try it out in my phone.

    Thanks

Had the same issue today. You might have too many devices authorized to use google music. Go to your account settings on your pc and make sure that there are no more than 8.
