For some reason my gmail messages are not syncing to my phone unless I manually do a refresh inside the inbox. Not sure what setting would be preventing this, does anyone have any guidance? I am wondering if it's somewhere in Power settings, but I am on Normal battery mode right now, so I'm not sure why it'd be stopping gmail sync.
EDIT: I just went into Accounts & Sync and saw that Auto-sync was un-checked. I checked it (and went into some accounts and manually unchecked them from syncing) and now my gmail is coming into my phone. So now my question is, is gmail supposed to sync when just "background data" is checked, or does it have to have "auto-sync" checked too? I feel that my battery will drain faster with both of these settings checked. Thanks for reading.
