Gingerbread keyboard suggestion help?!

Got the gingerbread keyboard running on my D1 BB v.6. Like the looks of it and also love the punctuation stuff that apears when you first open it up, but with suggestions turned on, the punctuation stuff goes away as soon as you start typing something. With the suggestions turned off, that whole field is not there.

Any suggestions on how to keep the sideways scrollable punctuation items listed above the letters???

its acting normal...

once you finoish with a word, it will go back to the puncuation...

ONLY after you hit the space bar after typing a word....dangit

if you hit something, say a period or question mark after you finish your word, it will uatomatically put it next to the word for you
