Droid 1 stock - how to overclock?

hi i want to root my phone mostly just to overclock my phone just because i want a faster phone... please anyone know the easiest way to do this? link me plz? i cant find a easy way to do this

simply, get setCPU (on xda) and a kernel, install in recovery, and ur set

well dont i have to be rooted 1st? and where can i download kernals?

yes you have to be rooted in order to have the ability to o.c. and you cant install kernals without being rooted

easiest way is to use a 1-click root then.

1. get ROM MANAGER
2. from RM- get a ROM (i use BUGLESS BEAST/ experiment and find the one you like.)
3. then from RM get a KERNEL to overclock higher than 800mhz (bb alone will put you at 800 but if you want more speed you need a kernel.
i use chevy no 1

everything you need to do all of this is in ROM MANAGER

BTW, to root my droid 1 i used SOUP TO ROOT (a 1-click method) after 2 days of headache. I gave up on being a smarty pants and just did the cave man 1-click
