Dock software

I have two DroidX docks, one on a Windows 7 pc the other on a Vista pc. The Win7 pc, when I dock the Droid has a display on the pc showing info about text messages and phone calls and asks about syncing different folders. Is this only for Win7 because it does not happen on the Vista pc. Thanks for any info.

Are there some drivers you need to install on the Vista that 7 installed automatically?

I think I have all the drives installed, but let me look again and go out to the moto site.
