custom battery charging animation issue

Just customizing my theme. I put in custom png files for my battery charging animation and battery level indicator. The indicator works fine, but the charging animation is having an issue:

In a perfect world (I think?) the screen would display anim0.png, 1, 2, ... up to anim10.png and then start over.

On my theme the display starts at stat_sys_battery_charge_anim3.png and stays there for a few seconds before going to anim4.png, 5, 6, etc.

anim0, anim1, anim2 are never shown???

I checked and they are all named as above going from 0-10 and also I have an animfull.png as well.

I'm sure I'm just missing something silly or didn't read a direction right. Any tips??

if i am not mistaken, it will only charge up from where you are at. (i.e. if you are at 30% charge, it will show anim3, 4, 5, 6, etc to full) and then start over again.

nope, at 80% and it's still starting from 30%

hmm. not sure then. i am not a themer myself for android, but i did abunch for my ipod for ipodwizard.net when i had spare time. just thought id throw in my .02
