Cannot add VVM to "Accounts"

usually, I can add Visual Voice Mail to my accounts so it shows up in the Universal Inbox. However, now, when I try to add it I get the normal screen entitled "Voice Mail" at the top... but it's just a black screen. Any ideas on a way to force through the hang? I can go back to the accounts screen, but can't go forward through VM setup...
