Boot animation

Tried setting a different animations with absolute, now none of them work. Tried putting them in both media and data/ local with root explorer, no joy. Black screen till boot. CM7.
Note-absolute did work yesterday to change the animation, no issues changing fonts.

When u put it in data then local did u have the animation named bootanimation.zip because ifs its not that then it will just do the black screen issue that ur having now or the animation that ur using just doesn't work and I would try download a another one

Indeed. The system will look in data/local first and if nothing is there, it will next look in system/media. If it has no audio to it, better put it in data/local. And of course, make sure it's named bootanimation.zip as was mentioned above.

Wiped cache and dalvik to install nightly 20 and it started working. I dunno...

Who knows how to put sound in a boot animation?

I believe on gb, you'll put the audio file in system/media along with the boot animation. Just make sure data/local is empty.

The only files in data/local are 12p , tmp, and batch.

Cool. I think there's an audio folder in system/media. Try putting the audio file there
